Of course it’s permanent!!!

Regardless of what you’ve read on the internet, laser hair removal and electrolysis are equally permanent!   The fact that laser hair removal is approved as ‘permanent hair reduction’ by the FDA, whereas electrolysis has the distinction of ‘permanent hair removal’,  does not mean that it is any less effective than electrolysis.  Both methods destroy hair by applying heat so why is there a difference?  Simple.  It’s all about the colour of the hair.  Electrolysis can treat all hair colours because a probe individually enters each follicle, and delivers a burst of radio frequency energy which heats it up.  It destroys small hairs with great effectiveness, but the larger hairs need more sessions.  Now laser on the other hand doesn’t make contact with the root of the hair physically like the probe does.  It sends a beam of light into the skin that concentrates on dark pigment only.   Therefore, it can’t heat up tiny hairs, or white/blonde hairs.  But it does a fantastic job of killing coarse dark hairs.  So we would almost never do electrolysis on legs or bikini lines because usually the hairs in these areas are usually dark enough for laser.  And since laser is so much faster than electrolysis, that’s the preferred choice.  We always recommend which method for you to use based on  which will cost you less number one, and then which will be more effective for your hair type and colour.
