How does Electrolysis feel?

Common misconceptions

For some the word electrolysis implies some discomfort, however it’s important to clarify that the experience is not as intimidating as it may seem.

Sensation during treatment

You will not feel the probe as it gently enters the hair follicle. There is no sensation of electric current; instead, you  will feel warmth or slight stinging generated in the root area. Typically, this sensation is less painful than plucking a hair. Individual nerve sensitivity varies, so experiences can differ, but most find they’re pleasantly surprised by their tolerance.

Managing sensitivity

If you’re still skeptical or have heightened sensitivity, don’t worry—there are techniques available to desensitize or even anesthetize the treatment areas to enhance your comfort.

Free consultations

We offer complimentary consultations to discuss any concerns and help you feel at ease before your treatment.
