The Physics

The GentleMax Pro is powerful yet gentle. What sets it apart is its “flash-freezing” system. A nanosecond before each laser pulse arrives, a spurt of compressed cryogen is released. The predominant sensation is that of a cooling spray. Laser pulses target melanin in hair follicles at specific depths depending on the wavelength used, measured in nanometers. The 755 nm Alexandrite laser is best for lighter skin tones and can target somewhat finer or less dark hair. The 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser is safer for darker skin.
