Laser is more efficient than Electrolysis…but?

The chart provides laser fees for common areas

Laser and electrolysis compliment each other!

Laser and electrolysis are the only methods of permanent hair removal.  Laser is defined by the FDA as ‘permanent hair reduction’ while Electrolysis is defined as ‘permanent hair removal’. This is confusing.  Laser and electrolysis both effectively destroy hair by delivering heat to the hair root. Laser is capable of much more efficient hair destruction than electrolysis is, so why is it defined as ‘reduction’? Simply because laser can only destroy pigmented hairs and so the light/fine hairs remain. Electrolysis can kill all colours, but is really just used in cases where only red or fine hair is present, or when treating a small number of dark hairs. (say 50 or less).

Laser is faster, more economical in most cases, and there’s less discomfort. In fact, with our latest laser, the Gentle Max Pro which offers both Alexandrite and Yag wavelengths, we can promise you will be truly be amazed. A little spritz of cryogen precedes each laser pulse and it effectively masks the heat of the laser! We love our laser and you will too!

Is laser permanent or “long lasting”?

Laser or electrolysis for darker skins

Laser is the preferred method of permanent hair removal Can everyone benefit from it? The combination of light skin colour and dark hair is ideal.  Why?  Laser destroys dark hair better than lighter hair because the darker the root is, the more the laser is attracted...

On the plus side of the laser pulse

On the plus side of the laser pulse

Go with laser... When the hair is visibly dark and there's a lot (a few dozen or more). Electrolysis would be suitable as well in this case because the end cost would be similar.  The more hair there is though, the more cost effective laser becomes. Sometimes it comes...
